Quay of Vardar was being salvaged after last night’s rain

-

Heavy rainfall that swept the Republic of Macedonia yesterday caused an increase in the water level of the river Lepenec, thus increasing the level of river Vardar.

Because of this, crews of Headquarters for protection and rescue of the City of Skopje last night intervened at the lowest points of river Vardar in the Municipality of Aerodrom (next to the building of PIOM) in order to prevent the eventual destruction of the bike path on that part of the quay of river Vardar by the increasing water level.

Crews of Headquarters for protection and rescue of the City of Skopje intervened on field by setting up sandbags along the quay of the river Vardar.
