The Economic Vice Premier of Macedonia Vladimir Peshevski wrote on Facebook about the blocked accounts of Makpetrol and the possible energy crisis.
-According to the Law, the public interest must be safeguarded, so all government institutions which are included in legislative processes must take legal steps that will not jeopardize the public interest, that will protect the interests of the people, such as the interests of the shareholders and employees in Makpetrol- says in Peshevski’s write-up on Facebook.
According to him, it is necessary for all conditions in securing the public interest to be met by the operator who is subject to the fact-checking process.
-The government will follow the developments according to span of its authority and if needed, it will take all necessary steps to prevent a sudden tilt in the balance of oil and gas supply to the people in Macedonia- wrote Peshevski on Facebook.
