Presidential candidate of SDSM Stevo Pendarovski, in an interview for “Sloboden pechat,” argued that the combined opposition and SDSM are simply obliged to urge President Gjorgje Ivanov to return the mandate because he would not get it if the will of the citizens was respected.
– The materials published so far clearly confirm that absolutely the same methods provided votes for Gruevski and Ivanov. Following that logic, the combined opposition and SDSM are simply obliged to urge Ivanov return the mandate – said Pendarovski.
He doesn’t believe that the mediating role of Ivanov is his genuine attitude.
– Ivanov’s political career was marked by two notorious facts: first, his second term, which is illegally obtained, and second, the last year, along with the previous five, he is not at all present in Macedonian politics. Regarding the alleged proposal of a mediating role in the current crisis, I do not believe that it is a genuine attitude, much less a serious proposal from any domestic or foreign politician who sticks to himself – said Pendarovski in the interview.
