Before the start of today’s negotiations in the Przhino Agreement, the agenda of the meeting was changed, namely, at the request of DUI. The working groups are now scheduled to discuss the implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement “Meta” has discovered. Caught by surprise by the changes were the negotiators who were told on the spot of the new developments. They commented that every party has its own agenda and that it obstructs the negotiation process.
Today scheduled talks on electoral legislation, will now be postponed but it is not known until when. Also, it is unknown when talks will continue regarding the media and the survey committee.
The only thing known so far as an agreement, SEC members will be elected by the formula “three plus three plus three,” which is basically when the ruling party choose three members, the opposition choose another three, and three experts will be chosen by two thirds of Parliament.
According to representatives of political parties, who are participants in the working groups, in the next few days, an agreement is expected to be reached. The deadline for reaching an agreement on electoral legislation is October the 6th and a contract is expected to be achieved before the deadline, just like the special prosecutor.
For the media, however, the deadline is October the 15th.
