Parliament will discuss Janeva’s report on March 28

The report by the Special Public Prosecutor that Katica Janeva submitted to Parliament, will be discussed at a plenary session on March 28, confirmed Parliament.

They say that the report will firstly be discussed at a session of the Committee on Political Systems and Inter-Ethnic Relations, which will be held on March 21.

According to paragraph 1 of Article 7 of the law, which was set up for the Special Prosecutor’s Office on September 15 of last year, Katica Janeva is responsible too and answers only to Parliament and the Council of Public Prosecutors.

“The Public Prosecutor will report every six months on and about his or her’s activities, including a description of progress in any investigation or prosecution undertaken by the Public Prosecutor, in this report material may be omitted if the Public Prosecutor believes it should be kept confidential, but must provide adequate information to justify the finances of their operation”, states paragraph 2 of the same Article of the Law concerning the Special Prosecutors Office.
