Parliament has acknowledged Gruevski’s resignation, while SDSM walked out of the session

-

The Speaker of Parliament Trajko Veljanoski, acknowledged the resignation of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and the termination government’s mandate. Now former Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski did not use his legal opportunity to explain his resignation.

After the Trajko Veljanoski’s speech, Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of SDSM Goran Sugareski requested to speak.

“Macedonian citizens have waited 10 long years for the head of this regime to fall and that’s the end of a criminal and wasteful government. Nikola Gruevski decided who could live freely in Macedonia, but now that has clearly come to an end. Nikola, Macedonia now says to you, Goodbye. We had neither fair nor free nor democratic elections. Nikola Gruevski is afraid of fair and free elections, he does not want the voters’ list to be renewed, nor does he want a free media. The citizens will not benefit from elections without previously renewing the voters’ list and media darkness, which ‘the family’ wants to use to save their own skin. For SDSM, it is not acceptable to have elections without an updated and renewed electoral roll. SDSM, with all its democratic means and with the citizens will fight for a free and democratic Macedonia”, said Mr Sugareski.

After Sugarski finished his speech, the SDSM parliamentary group walked out of the session.
