Over 2,000 professors signed the list for support of student protests in Serbia

-

The list of university professors who signed an open letter expressing support for the Serbian students and their demands constantly grows, and has surpassed 2,000 names so far, Nova.rs reported.

“Dear citizens of Serbia, us, the teachers, associates and researchers of the Serbian universities, stand firmly besides our students in the common struggle for better society,” claim the professors from the universities in Serbia.

They condemned the government attempts to intimidate their colleagues, the students, by publish sharing of their private data, spreading falsehoods about them, and sending policemen and agents of the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) to their homes or to the homes of their parrents.

“With this letter, we publicly appeal to the competent state institutions to conscientiously and responsibly do their jobs,” wrote the professors from the list.
