Out of 450 tests in the last 24 hours, only 11 COVID-19 cases registered in North Macedonia

In the past 24 hours in North Macedonia, according to the latest report issued by the Health Ministry, 450 COVID-19 tests were conducted, which is twice as less than the number of tests conducted in the last report and is much lower than the average number of tests conducted last week. With the 450  tests, only 11 new COVID-19 cases were registered, which ranks along the numbers of infected persons at the start of the epidemic in North Macedonia.

Out of the 11 newly registered cases, 3 were registered in Skopje and each of the following cities has 1 registered case: Kumanovo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Gevgelija, Kriva Palanka, Berovo, Vinica, and Delchevo.

Also, the Institute for Public Health registered 95 recovered patients out of whom 44 are from Skopje, Štip – 16, Prilep-3, Veles -2, Kavadarci – 4, Gostivar – 2, Gevgelija 1, Strumica – 2, Kočani -2, Probištip -1, Makedonski Brod – 2, Vinica – 3, Sveti Nikole – 11, Kičevo – 1, and Negotino- 1.

Three persons have died – a patient from Gostivar (aged 51), Prilep (aged 65), and a patient from Vinica (aged 78). All of them died in hospital.

The total number of people diagnosed with COVID -19 in North Macedonia since the outbreak of the pandemic is 14.341 and the number of recovered patients is 11.157. The death toll is 603 and the current number of active cases is 2.581.
