Museum of VMRO activists opens in Shtip

-

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski today visited Shtip, where he attended the opening of the Museum of VMRO activists from Stip and the region in the period from 1883 to 1934 and officially visited the new transmission line of MEPSO which will go from Shtip to Macedonian-Serbian border.

– There are rarely such places in which so famous revolutionaries, dukes, rebels and other activists from and post the Ilinden Uprising period were born and lived. Each pebble in Novo Selo hides its own history, its own story and its own meaning. Starting from the famous Novo Selo school, through St. Mary’s Church, the site Kaj javorot, and through the various streets, bridges, ledzhi, Sveti Spas church, tombs, sculptures, individual houses of more or less known families from Shtip Novo Selo – said Gruevski.

Along with the management of MEPSO, Gruevski visited the new 400-kilowats transmission line, which will be set up on 168 steel lattice columns on a 70 kilometers long route, from Shtip to Macedonian-Serbian border near Kumanovo. The investment value of the project is 9.7 million euros. This transmission line introduces power connection with the Republic of Serbia, which increases the capacity for electricity transmission and increases the reliability of power systems at the regional level.
