Osmani: The local elections will be the crown for the “3-6-9” plan and a test for the Government

-

Last year’s parliamentary elections marked the beginning of the end of a severe institutional and political crisis, but also marked the beginning of the unblocking of the EU integration process, said Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani, before the start of the tribune dedicated to the implementation of the measures from the “3-6-9” plan,  which refer to the elections and the election process.

“Although those elections marked some kind of beginning, I think the next local elections will mark the end of the first phase, which will give an assessment of whether we have really returned to the EU integration process, that is, on the democratic path”,said Osmani, adding that the local elections will be a crown to the “3-6-9” plan because the elections are indicative of the situation in the administration, the media and the citizens.

Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said that the Ministry of Interior, in support of the State Election Commission, is constantly working on improving and raising the credibility of the electoral list and restoring the confidence of the citizens.

SEC President Aleksandar Chichakovski said preparations for the local elections began immediately after the early parliamentary elections ended with an internal evaluation for the conduct of early elections, strategic planning for the preparation of a plan for the period until 2020 and analysis of the final report of the OSCE / ODIHR and to domestic observers.
