The government decided to grant a status with a European flag to the draft-Law for the use of languages because it is a part of the Framework agreement which is a part of the country’s Euro-integration process, announced today the VP for European Affair’s cabinet.
“The implementation of the Framework agreement is connected with the country’s Euro-integration process, which is confirmed by a plethora of conclusions from the Council of EU in the last few years. This indicates of the necessity of a complete implementation of the agreement as a basis for a further building of a democratic society with a multi-ethnic character, as a frame for securing the future of the democracy in Macedonia and allowing the development of more close and more integrated relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Euro-Atlantic community” said the SEP’s announcement.
They also announced that the government had taken into account the Stabilisation and Association Process, the taken obligations from the Agreement for Stabilisation and Association, and the obligations that have come out of High Level Access Dialogue and the reformatory priorities, through which the preparation for the draft-Law for the use of languages has become a part of the “3-6-9” plan.
