The Vice Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani is currently visiting Berlin where he has met with the MP of the German Bundestag, Christian Petri of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
At the meeting, Osmani and Petri spoke about the support for the decision for starting Macedonia’s accession negotiations with the European Union for which a final decision will be made during tomorrows session at the Bundestag.
“A new and encouraging message was passed on to me by Petri that his party SPD has voted with the majority of votes in favor of starting the country’s negotiations with the EU. The session will start tomorrow and it has this issue on its agenda and it is more evident that Germany will voted in favor of” stressed Osmani.
Vice Prime Minister Osmani is on a visit to Berlin where he will attend the session at the Bundestag and he will be following the debate and the voting process for the decision to start the accession negotiations with Macedonia at the EU Summit in October.
Osmani’s host during the visit will be the President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble.
