-

Today, Macedonia began formally its screening process at the headquarters of the European Commission through a presentation of the first chapter 23 – judiciary and fundamental rights.

At the start of the meeting, the Deputy – President of the Government, for European Affairs and chief negotiator of the state delegation for negotiations, Bujar Osmani, addressed the representatives of the negotiating structure and the Commission.

-It is clear to us that we are starting a complex process, that will unfold in several phases, where thousands of pages of the so-called acquis the Macedonian legislation should be presented. But allow me to assure you that the motivation and the enthusiasm among the administration, the civil sector, business representatives, generally among the citizens, from the advancements of the Euro-integrations, is on an exceptionally high level and I assure you that we are ready to meet this challenge – said Osmani.

Osmani presented the three trajectories that the government and the whole state will move within the Euro-integration processes.

-The state will devote itself parallelly to implementing the Agreements for good-neighborly relations with Bulgaria and Greece, it will keep its reformatory momentum for the fulfillment of the remarks and the directions that were given in June, and it will start to uncompromisingly to fulfill the obligations dictated by the screening process, and simultaneously, it will prepare itself for three separate fields parallelly, for starting the negotiations in June next year – said Osmani, indicating the historical moment of a “chance that this generation must not miss.”
