President Gjorge Ivanov and Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani met today at the Villa Vodno and discussed the cohabitation between the Government and the President of the country, as well as relations between political representatives and the possibilities for enhancing mutual cooperation, informed the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister.

“Although our party commitment remains the principle of ethnic consensus in the election of the next president of the Republic of Macedonia, we want to achieve unity, consensus and support for the reforms necessary for our European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Inclusion is important to ensure a more stable and regular cohabitation between the Government and the president, which would ensure a more efficient and stable functionality of the political system”, said Osmani after the meeting.

At the meeting, Osmani presented the “3-6-9” plan and asked Ivanov to support the implementation of the measures and reforms to achieve political unity on topics such as the agreement with Bulgaria, as well as building confidence between Macedonia and Greece.

“Among other things, I paid particular attention to exploring the part of the plan related to inter-ethnic relations, for example the new draft law on the use of languages. In addition to support and other measures from the “3-6-9” plan, I also asked President Ivanov for support for the new Law on the Use of Languages”, said Osmani, adding that he expects support for the new law on the use of languages and from the opposition, VMRO-DPMNE .
