The Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society is organizing the first Open Data Hackathon as part of the USAID Civic Engagement Project. This four-day challenge aims to bring together and encourage young, creative and innovative people to develop demo innovative solutions that should bring closer to citizens the open data published by state institutions.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Students and startup companies can apply for the event as teams that have a passion to work with the processing and display of open data from various fields. Each team needs to be made up of members with knowledge of web and/or mobile application development, graphic design and UX, economics, business and marketing. Teams should have a minimum of three members and one team leader.
WHEN AND WHERE?
The Open Data Hackathon will take place online from 17 to 20 May 2021. The deadline for registration of the teams is 14 May 2021, at 16:00. The registration is on [the following link], and the form is filled out by the team leader on behalf of the team.
The registered participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the details and the concept of the challenge on 17 May 2021 at the very beginning of the Hackathon. We promise there will be no big surprises.
The working language of the Hackathon is Macedonian.
PRIZE?
The winning team according to the voting of the jury consisting of five members will receive 3,000 dollars with which they should upgrade their demo solution into a functional application. This is undoubtedly something that will boost up your portfolio.
