On Monday, as MEPs arrive in Skopje, Gruevski leaves for the US

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Monday, will travel to the United States, where, according to recent announcements, will meet with US Vice President Joe Biden.

The deepening of mutual relations and cooperation, Macedonia’s reforms and democratic processes, the increase of economic cooperation and trade relations, security issues and Macedonia’s integration into NATO and the European Union (EU) are expected to be focal points of the meeting between Gruevski and Biden in Washington reports “Utrinski”.

This will be the second meeting between Prime Minister Gruevski and US Vice President Biden. Their first meeting was in February of 2011.

On Monday, when Gruevski leaves for the the United States, MEP’s Richard Howitt, Eduard Kukan and Ivo Vajgl, who together with Commissioner Johannes Hahn brokered the Przhino Agreement, will be arriving in Skopje.

According to announcements, the three MEPs on Monday will have separate meetings with the signatories of the Przhino Agreement.

Maya Kocijancic Spokeswoman for the European Commission (EC), yesterday confirmed that Commissioner Johannes Hahn will visit Macedonia in mid-January to discuss the implementation of Przhino Agreement.

Gruevski’s announcement regarding his visit to the United States comes at a time when the deadlines approach for the Prime Minister’s resignation and the election for a transitional Government until elections on April 24.
