On January 15th, the Bulgarian ambassador will present its EU program to Parliament

On January 15th, the Bulgarian Ambassador to Macedonia, Ivan Velikov Petkov, will stand before the Parliamentary Commission on European Affairs, to present the program and priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency with the Council of the European Union.

Otherwise, Bulgaria takes over the EU’s presidency over the next six months and have four priorities – the future of Europe and its young people, the Western Balkans, the security and stability of the EU and the digital economy.

The program in the Western Balkans section states that Bulgaria’s goal, based on its experiences, is without creating false expectations, to support reforms in the Western Balkan countries (Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina) linked to the integration processes and put them in the forefront of the EU agenda.
