Each year, about 521 million dollars are illegally taken out of the Republic of Macedonia. This is shown by the data of the international organization “Global Financial Integrity” from Washington.
According to the organization, Macedonia is on the 79th place on the amount of funds that are illegally taken abroad.
In the period between 2003 and 2012, most funds were taken out of Macedonia in 2011, i.e. 852 million dollars.
Croatia is on the 49th place with 1.4 billion dollars, while Albania is 115th place with 128 million dollars which are illegally taken out of the country.
Between 2002 and 2011, 142 million dollars were taken out of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of Serbia – 50 billion, of Croatia – 15 billion, of Montenegro – more than 4 billion and of Macedonia – around 5.4 billion dollars.
