There is no going back, things need to be sorted out until the end and everyone will bear the responsibility of their actions, said Interior Minister, Agim Nuhiu, at a press conference at the MOI, where he said that he had submitted a request to the Government to dismiss Mitko Chavkov from the position of Director of the Public Security Bureau (PSB). He also said he had formed an operational headquarters which will inspect the responsibility of all police officers involved and will hold all those accountable for the events last Thursday, during the chaos, barbarism and beatings in the Parliament of the republic of Macedonia.
“Part of the structures of the MOI caused damage to our country and to our democratic values. What happened in Parliament last Thursday was pure evil and to fix the damage will take a long time and it will take commitment, not only from the MOI, but from the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the judiciary”, said Nuhiu at the beginning of the press conference
He said he had submitted to the Government a request for Mitko Chakov to be dismissed as Director of the Public Security, and in a written order, he proposed Goranco Savovski, a state counselor at the PSB to be appointed for the coordination of the operational headquarters.
