The leader of the SDSM Zoran Zaev at a press conference stated that the decision to postpone the dissolution of Parliament is just further proof that Nikola Gruevski has been defeated.
“The VMRO-DPMNE and the DUI’s decision to postpone the dissolution of Parliament is just further proof that Nikola Gruevski has been defeated. After all the lies, the fraud, the spite, he ended up hiding from the public for days, Nikola Gruevski has admitted his responsibility. There are no conditions for free, fair and democratic elections on April 24th”, said Zaev.
The opposition leader said that by breaching the terms of the Przhino Agreement and rejeting to reform the media and cleanse the voters’ list, the “false patriot” Nikola Gruevski and his VMRO-DMPNE party are trying to push Macedonia into a dramatic crisis
“The EU, the US and the International Community, guarantors of the Przhino Agreement confirmed that there are no conditions for elections, and the postponement of the Parliament’s dissolution just shows how important free elections are for the future of Macedonia”, said Zaev. Adding that Gruevski wanted Macedonia to plunge into a serious state of isolation from the international community and a deep internal crisis, “with the sole purpose to protect the crime and corruption caused by “the Family”.
Zaev also said that the leader of the VMRO-DMPNE is afraid of free and fair elections, because he knows he shall lose.
“Everybody knows that Gruevski can not keep Macedonia hostage. Just an hour ago, VMRO-DPMNE argued that they would not move the date April 24. This evening it was confirmed, I told you, and it happened. Nothing is up to Nikola Gruevski anymore”, said Zaev.
