Nikolovski: The MPs that are against the constitutional changes aren’t against Mickoski’s stance

-

VMRO-DPMNE’s MPs who wrote on their FB profiles that they will not support constitutional changes do not resist the stance of the party leader Hristijan Mickoski, but they are showing the nation’s mood, replied the Vice president of VMRO-DPMNE, Aleksandar Nikoloski, when asked by a journalist whether these announcements are a reflection of a new party stance which stands against what the party’s president announces – that the constitutional changes will be supported if the nation votes “For” at the referendum.

-I don’t think that the MPs opinions are contrary to the president’s opinion. The MPs are VMRO-DPMNE’s strongest part. They feel the citizens’ vibrations. They are continuously in touch with the citizens and when they decided to express their opinion in this manner, it means that they have received this as a vibration from the citizens and they want to reflect that. That should be respected – said Nikoloski.

He said that Alojz Peter’es statement that VMRO-DPMNE’s MPs give their support for the Agreement with Greece was wrongly understood during a conversation with Mickoski and it is absolutely untrue that MPs from the biggest opposition party are determined to support the agreement.

-I was attending the meeting with Peterle and I can say that this is untrue or it was poorly translated or it was a misunderstanding. But, this is completely untrue – stressed Nikoloski after today’s press conference.
