New 999 COVID-19 cases in North Macedonia, 24 patients die, 22% rise since past week

The Health Ministry of North Macedonia informs that according to the data provided by the Public Health Institute -PHI, in the past 24 hours, 3 627 tests were done and 999 new cases of COVID-19 were discovered.

More than half of the new cases are from the capital Skopje – 539, and the cities with second highest number of infections are Prilep and Bitola, with 44 new cases each. The PHI informs that this week there are 22.2% more new cases than past week.

In the same 24-hour period, 543 people recovered and 24 patients died.

The total number of COVID-19 diagnosed cases in North Macedonia since the outbreak of the pandemic is 113 929, the number of patients who recovered is 98 676 and the death toll is 3 364. The number of the active cases is 11 889. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, 571 068 tests were conducted.
