Renewal of EU accession talks is uncertain

-

Negotiations at a high level (HLAD) of the Przhino Agreement have come to a dead-end  in terms of the realization of the treaty.

“Commissioner Hahn plans to visit the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on the 18th of September to oversee the progress and results of the implementation of the political agreement and to see if deadlines are being met. meeting the deadlines – said Maja Kocijancic said to ‘Meta’, spokeswoman Commissioner Johannes Hahn.

Kocijancic confirmed that during the visit the renewal of negotiations at a high level should be discussed. Unofficially, it is said that the restoration of HLAD depends on whether the appointing of a new special prosecutor on the 15th of September will be appointed and resolve the issue of the opposition ‘Bombs’. If political parties fail to reach an agreement and break deadlines, then HLAD and Skopje would not be on the agenda.

The European Commission, however, will not comment  whether the terms and the implementation of the agreement the points of agreement will affect the EC’s report.

“The European Commission is in constant contact with political parties and the Government regarding the implementation of the agreement, and the annual report on Macedonia will be presented in mid-October”, said Kocijancic.

Access high-level dialogue began in 2011 but the last meeting was held two years ago and stopped because of the political crisis and the absence of the opposition from Macedonian Parliament.
