There is no one left to trust

-

If Zoran Zaev , leader of the opposition, cannot be trusted, who, if we apply the same principle of facing statements, can we trust?

It is noted that Zaev cannot be trusted because on the meetings he had with Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, he told him that he received the recordings of wiretapped conversations from foreign services, then to say at a press conference that he lied to the Prime Minister in order not to do harm to people who helped him.

This is the conversation that took place between Gruevski and Zaev on the recordings made in the office of the Prime Minister.

Gruevski: You say, foreigners gave it to you?
Zaev: Foreigners, yes…foreigners.
Gruevski: Foreign service?
Zaev: Foreign service … not from the neighborhood …of course … farther … foreign service.

When asked about why he told Gruevski that the materials are from foreign offices, Zaev said:

“In all four meetings in top management, a meeting was held here, in the party, and it was decided – it’s a go. But we know that he is recording us, always. For we know what we poses and how far this man can go. If you were in my position, would you tell him the names of the people? People who gathered courage, decided in this regime, in such a crime? To tell that to such non-humans?”

At the second press conference for action “Puch”, which was held in the Government of the Republic of Macedonian, Gruevski several times repeated that the authenticity of the recordings of Zaev will be proven in court. In contrast, he referred to the recordings as mounted.

At the same event, Gruevski first said that the recordings that were revealed are recorded in his office as part of special investigative measures, but then avoided to answer the question who released them in public and why no one claims responsibility for it.

To Zaev, after he began publishing the “bomb” and after action “Puch”, he tells that he first said he does not know Verushevski, than that he knows him, and in the end that he was trying to secure a work visa for him.

At a press conference of SDSM spokesman Petre Shilegov, he said that SDSM leadership has no close contacts with Zoran Verushevski, just for then Zaev, in an interview on “24 News”, to say he knew the former counter intelligence agent and that he wanted to obtain visa for him to flee abroad.

Zoran Stavreski, in private conversations released by Zaev, says that our economy is a disaster, while, at a press conference, says to the public how we were one of the best economies in Europe. Then, slanders his colleagues and said that when speaking to Government, he feels like talking to “idiots or children”, while, on the public press conference, said that it is normal for ministers to have different opinions.

He, for example, seems like having two different characters: one while talking with Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska, and completely different when addressing the public. In talks with Jankulovska, Stavreski says he is not a “magician” and that he cannot provide money for every nonsense, that the budget is empty and he will need to either reduce wages or to fire people from the administration that are not needed.

At an emergency press conference, Stavreski said that last year Macedonia had the best result in terms of economic growth and government debt of the country is less than 35 percent of GDP.

– Last year we had the second best result in terms of economic growth. State debt of the Republic of Macedonia today is less than 35 percent of GDP, which is among the four least indebted European countries. The reforms implemented by the government have already brought 30 new foreign companies, and this year another 25 companies are expected to invest. We managed to reduce unemployment that we have inherited from SDSM from 37 percent to 27.9 percent, which means that 125,000 new jobs were created. These are the results of this Government and the economic team of the Government – said Stavreski.

Hours after releasing recordings of wiretapped conversations to the public, in which Stavreski with abusive words describes Prime Minister and his colleagues, at the emergency press conference he said it is “normal people to have different opinions.”

– Ministers sometimes have different opinions. We all reveal those opinions, to debate, to exchange arguments, everyone has their own position, everyone gives their arguments. Sometimes that debate can be fierce, sometimes calmer, sometimes it takes days, sometimes it last for hours, but in the end, the only and common of all is that through a phase of arguments, we choose the best solution for the citizens of Macedonia. Thus, we always dealt in the interests of citizens and determined the priorities of the Government – said Stavreski.

Mile Janakieski, also in private conversations with Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, says one thing, and quite another in public.

Minister of Transport and Communications in conversation (recordings released by Zoran Zaev) agrees with the Prime Minister about when and how to demolish building “Cosmos” of Fijat Canoski.

MJ: Kacarska, a judge, appeared in front of the construction workers, submitted some documents, we sent her to the municipality, I talked to Biljana, I am afraid that they will give a court order prohibiting the demolition.
NG: Ahhh, so we have nothing. From the top down. This is a minor damage.
MJ: Minor, minor.
NG: What?
MJ: Now they entered the building, I mean, they now began working, they plugged machines to electricity, to water.
NG: Now?
MJ: I don’t mean now, at 10 pm they began to work with these machines, but those with the cords got off, began two hours ago.
NG: Yep, Yep.
MJ: Two professors to do a mini project to see for three or four days if it could totally fall as that structure near Rudine. Because we did not know what there is inside, construction, there is a lot of steel, it is very difficult to cut.
NG: Yep.

One day after SDSM published recordings with these conversations, Minister Janakieski said that the structure “Cosmos” was “legally demolished.”

– Building inspectors determined that the developer builds a facility which is higher for one and a half meter, thus deviating from the intended project. Twice the Ministry of Transport and Communications has accepted complaints of Canoski regarding the requirements for site conditions and the building permit. The mere fact that Canoski after establishing the facts that the constructed facility is not in compliance with the project, he asked his project not to be demolished, but to change the project during construction, which he himself told the media and confirmed that he built a facility which deviates from the initial project… – said Minister of Transport and Communications.

In recordings of tapped conversations which SDSM released on Monday, Gordana Jankulovska tells Stavreski that the police “saves for gasoline” and that the equipment, i.e. beds on which they sleep on are from the time of JNA.

GJ: Well, yesterday I did this thing about the police station. People are jumping for joy, they are happy as children because they had tiles in bathroom and windows can be closed. So it came to that. They told him themselves, they are sleeping on iron beds, and blankets read JNA.

At yesterday’s press conference question whether police still sleeps on blankets of JNA, Jankulovska assessed it as “malicious allegation” and refused to comment, but on the situation in the police said that “no Government invest so much in equipment and means of police work.”
