MOI appeals new videos not to be posted on “YouTube”

-

“MOI stands behind the appeal to the Prosecution not to post videos on “YouTube” that can be used in further proceedings. But only these videos are concerned. Why aren’t recordings published by Zaev concerned? See Article 151 of the Criminal Code, he published private conversations,” said MOI spokesman Ivo Kotevski.

To the question of META whether MOI takes some measures regarding these recordings, Kotevski said: “Everything necessary”.

– We act in accordance to all orders of the Public Prosecutor, we addressed “YouTube” and the videos were removed. But it is best to call “YouTube” and ask them. It is a private company and MOI has no jurisdiction over it – says Kotevski asked whether MOI asked “YouTube” to remove videos of “the secret meetings” between Gruevski and Zaev.

Prosecution ordered the Interior Ministry to ask “YouTube” to remove the videos, though, in recent days, two more videos appeared on the video service.

– The investigation is ongoing, we are coordinated with the prosecution and act on all their orders – says Kotevski for the video of the meeting between Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and opposition leader Zoran Zaev made by using special investigative measures (SIM), as he said in his last address to the public about the case “Puch”.

– We are working on the case – was the response of MOI even after the appearance of the first two videos of the meeting between the prime minister and leader of SDSM, at the beginning of February.

Since then, there is no information if it’s discovered who, when and how posted the controversial videos on the video service. On the contrary, this weekend were posted two more videos of the same meeting, a day after prosecution came out with another statement, which, although vaguely and unclearly, reads that Public Prosecution Skopje “issued orders to the competent authorities to take measures and actions to carry out checks to gather information about who, when and how materials were published, their origin, and any other legally relevant data.”

META also asked the public prosecutor’s office regarding the course of investigation, i.e. whether the authorities act on orders and whether there is any outcome, but we did not get an answer.

The disputed videos titled “Truth revealed 1 and 2” can still be seen on the video service, with the date of publication, 2nd of February, and this weekend were posted two new videos of 15 and 21 seconds, one named “Polls”, and the other – “Recognition of defeat”. The videos are posted to the same channel on “YouTube” with alias “hoho lol”.
