At the first plenary session on the re-balancing of the budget, the Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, explained the purpose of the re-balance to all the MPs in Parliament.
While Tevdovski’s exposé took place, MPs from VMRO-DPMNE raised signs and banners, the main message was that they were making “cuts to Macedonia” and listed the amounts that are planned to be cut with the budget re-balance. On some of the banners there was a hashtag and “Life has passed by”.
Tevdovski said the main goal of the budget re-balance, is to increase the standard of living and to support domestic enterprises.
The president of the Finance and Budget Committee, Liljana Kuzmanovska, who is a member of VMRO-DPMNE, said that her party and the people were convinced that this budget is not reformatory.
