More than 30 lawsuits have been filed for fraud by Macedonians living in the USA over cheap flights

More than 30 lawsuits have been filed by Macedonians living in the United States, against the owner of the travel agency “Storija Travel” in Prilep, after they were accused of fraud by using cheap flights, “Meta” has learned.

As already announced by “Meta”, Macedonians, expatriates have allegedly been defrauded after being promised cheap flights to Skopje’s airport. The whole scam occurred while the Macedonian Diaspora were celebrating the New year and singer Elena Jovcevska who was performing and entertaining the guests and is originally from Prilep, offered cheap flights to Macedonia with the Austrian airline “Austrian Airlines” and allegedly took money from people. The money, however, was paid directly to the owner of the travel agency “Storija Travel” Jasmina Jordanoska-Chebrenska.

Ljupco Stanchevski who has been living in Ohio in the uS for 25 years, told “Meta” that more than 30 Macedonians have filed lawsuits against the agency.

“Every day lawsuits are being filed against the agency. But when I go back to the United States, I will submit a lawsuit through a lawyer there. The money has not been returned, and we do not have contact with someone from the agency”, said Stanchevski.

The folk singer Elena Joveska, who was employed at the travel agency has also filed a lawsuit against the travel agency. She says she will go public with specific information once she the travel agency is formally charged.
