MOI took into custody several individuals regarding the attack on A1on’s news crew

-

The Minister of Interior, Agim Nuhiu informed the Association of Journalists that several individuals were taken into custody regarding the attack on A1on’s news crew during the protest, “For a United Macedonia.”

Several of the protesters attacked cameraman, Vladimir Zelceski and journalist, Aleksandar Todevski, and due to their injuries they were transferred to the Emergency center in Skopje.

The Minister stressed that they are working on solving the case, but he didn’t reveal how many people were taken into custody and where they were found.

The President of the AJM, Naser Selmani yesterday condemned the attack and accused the leader of VMRO DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski for the incident.

“This is a culmination of what has been happening in the last four years. Nikola Gruevski’s government has been simultaneously attacking journalists so they wouldn’t report objectively about the situation in Macedonia. I want to address the President of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski to withdraw his bullies”,  said Selmani, further adding that even VMRO-DPMNE will gain nothing with these attack as the party directly influences the atmosphere by not sanctioning any previous attacks.
