Interior Ministry spokesman Toni Angelovski at a press conference today said that there have been seven reports of bribery and irregularties at several polling stations.
According to him, voting so far is generally taking place without serious problems and without disturbing the public order and peace.
Angelovski did not give more details about the bribery reports, he only informed that the police are working on clearing the cases.
“In regard to the voting itself, up to this point, there has been interuptions at 20 polling stations, but all due to technical reasons, and voting continued immediately after the problem was solved”, said Interior Ministry spokesman, Toni Angelovski.
Regarding the incident in Butel in the elementary school “Petar Zdravkovski Penko”, where two men physically clashed, Angelovski said that the incident has nothing to do with the elections because the two men had been in a dispute before.
The MOI called on citizens to report any violation of the election process and appealed to the parties to refrain from violating the process.
