MOI explains: Migrants from Gevgelija to Austria will not travel using a direct route

The transportation of migrants between Gevgelija an Austria will not be carried out using a direct route, instead, every country in the Western Balkans, particularly those countries on the migrant route, will individually make arrangements for the movement of migrants to their final destination, at which the migrants intend to seek asylum, the Interior Ministry explained to ‘Meta’.
Furthermore, it was agreed at a meeting today, between the Heads of Police of the five countries on the Western Balkan route, Macedonia ,Croatia, Austria, Serbia and Slovenia, a new standardized document for the profiling and registration of migrants which will be carried out on the Macedonian-Greek border near Gevgelija.
This documentation issued at this point will be essential for migrants on their journey from Macedonia to Austria or to any other EU country, where migrants seek asylum.
