Since the start of the school year, a total of 42 COVID-19 cases have been registered among the students and 65 among the teachers. Out of them, 29 are pupils from elementary school and 13 are high school students, while 47 of the teachers are elementary school teachers and 18 are of them are high school teachers, informed the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) of North Macedonia.
“Out of all active cases in the elementary schools, 7 of the pupils attended the lectures at schools while at secondary schools none of the students and the teachers attended physically the lectures and had no contact with the remaining students or the remaining teaching personnel,” explained the MoES.
The Ministry also stated the pupils that attended physically the lectures and are now in isolation, will continue studying online, which will allow for a continuation of their education.
