Young people in Macedonia have a huge dose of self-censorship

Recorded videos articles with larger number of citizens of Prilep, which present an objective picture of life in the city, as well as the violation of human and labor rights, were presented to the initiative “Social justice now,” the open forum organized on topic “Social (in)justice in Prilep.”

According to event organizer, there is a huge dose of self-censorship among the citizens of Macedonia.

The reality is that young people live on the salary or pension of parents, that if they have not fled abroad, then they are unemployed, they are welfare recipients, or very often, freelancers mutilated by the new law – said Sinisha Stankovik, representative of the initiative.

The initiative “Social justice now!” was conducted by the Centre for Freedom “Civil” and the Macedonian platform against poverty in order to uncover the difficult social situation in Macedonia at local level.
