Migrants penetrate the police and army cordon – The police responds by firing stun grenades

-

A group of migrants penetrated the cordon made of police and army troops. The migrants are moving towards the train station in Gevgelija, reports RTS.

RTS’s reporter said the police has fired stun grenades. The migrants are passing through places where there are fewer police and army groops.

The Ministry of Interior does not have information regarding other incidents. They added that the police are just doing their job, which is protecting the border and themselves.

According to people on the ground, the situation in Gevgelija has become tense and unpredictable and the number of migrants in the border zone is increasing by the hour.

Russian TV station Russia Today showed a video in which migrants are running to cross the Macedonian-Greek border. They have ran past the police cordon. Yesterday RT released a drone video which shows the sheer size of the crowd of people waiting to enter Macedonia.
