The truth is that their main fight is to keep Zoran Zaev and the people in the government away from being held responsible for the crimes, said VMRO-DPMNE’s party leader Hristijan Mickoski during today’s press conference regarding the failed leadership meeting.
“Up until late in the night we saw a picture of a pupil, drowned in crime and pale as death. Zaev wants to control and to bury the cases. He led a battle in order to avoid his family and his collaborators to be held accountable. Neither Kiracovski, nor Remenski. That is why Zaev wants to legalize the crime among his ranks. He needs to exert this control in order not to be held responsible for the Racket case nor for Racket, 1, 2, 3, 4 and other remaining cases. SPO’s case should be taken over by the Public Prosecution. This way, Zaev was able to buy a little piece for a few months, but he will be held responsible” said Mickoski.
VMRO-DPMNE’s leader said that Zaev has proposed a formation of Public Prosecution for High Corruption that would be on the same par with Ruskoska’s Prosecution and that the prosecution should be proposed by the biggest opposition party, in this case VMRO-DPMNE.
Regarding Zaev’s statement that Racket leads to Mickoski, he said that he will not press charges but he will warn that his name is absent but there are names from the government present.
VMRO-DPMNE’s party leader stressed that there is enough space for the negotiations to continue.
