The Minister of Foreign Affairs recieved a note today from the Serbian Embassy in Skopje. The note reported that the staff from the embassy have been called back to Serbia for consulations in Belgrade, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia is not aware of the reasons for this decision, and established communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia in order to determine the reasons for this procedure. According to the relevant provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the necessary institutions in Macedonia will undertake measures to protect the security and integrity of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Skopje”, said the MFA in a statement.
