Mehmeti: The Framework Agreement needs revision

-

The Vice President of DUI, Emira Mehmeti is the first representative from the party to suggest a revision of the Framework Agreement, reports the newspaper “Lyme”. She said this at 20th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement, which the Council of Europe organized by the Parliament for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mehmeti made a comparison of the theoretical and practical part of Dayton Agreement and the Framework Agreement and emphasized shortcomings in the implementation of the agreements, that were not foreseen at the time when they were adopted.

“The time has come to review these agreements because our society has changed and those flaws were not there the same time they were adopted. I believe changes are needed to move towards the requirements and expectations of our citizens and in order to improve Democratic standards and the multiethnic character of our countries”, said Mehmeti.
