Along the promenade of the city quay, but also in front of the Centre for Water Training, today employees in PE “Ohridski Komunalec”, together with a team of employees of “Macedonian Forests”, began planting a total of 200 hairy palms, three to four meters tall.
Thus continues the implementation of the project of PE “Macedonian Forests” for building the image of Ohrid as the city of palm trees.
They will try to make Ohrid a Mediterranean city by force with these palm trees and beaches that they announced, citizens of Ohrid mainly comment.
The project for planting palm trees started in November 2013.
Apart from in Ohrid, palm trees will also be planted in Struga, Prespa, Dojran and Gevgelija, i.e. total of 1,100 four-meter hairy palm trees.
