The price of the ticket purchased on the buses of the public transport enterprise JSP Skopje will not be increased to 60 denars but will remain at 35 denars. The Mayor of Skopje Koce Trajanovski predicts that this will be the outcome of the session on Tuesday where the matter will be discussed.
“The price will remain the same. The initial draft decision for the price of the ticket to be 60 denars was to reduce people waiting while buying a ticket from the driver, because if there are more passengers it increases the waiting time at the bus stop until the bus driver has handed out all tickets”, Mayor Trajanovski said today.
According to Major Trajanovski, and the Director of JSP Igor Janushev, there will be no increase in the price, but a decrease through the new electronic system with electronic tickets on the buses of JSP starting from next month.
“I Categorically declare that virtually every price for tickets we have now, will decrease. Also, we will be introducing new tickets in order for people to use the Public Transport System with more ease”, Janushev said.
He added that once fully the electronic system is fully implemented, tickets in paper form will no longer be in use. This system will also apply to private bus carriers.
