Two Macedonians living in Indiana, USA, reported to the Prilep police they had been conned by the owner of the travel agency “Travel Tales”, Jasmina Jordanoska-Chebrenska, who allegedly offered them cheap flights, “Meta” has learned.
In fact, according to them, the offer came through the singer Elena Jovcevska from Prilep, who performed for the Macedonian community in the United States. Jovcevska, however, claims that she was also betrayed and conned by the owner of the agency where she was employed.
Dragan Dzhikoski, who lives in Crown Point, Indiana, in the US, says he gave Ms Chebrenska $ 5,000 for 11 tickets. He has handed the fraud case to the Prilep police.
Dimce Nikolovski, from Crown Point who has lived in Indiana, USA for 6 years, also finds himself trapped in this con. He says he met Jovcevska when her and her group were on tour in America. It was then Nikolovski reported the case to the police.
After a while, Elena Jovcevska called Mr Nikolovski and told him to ask for his money back because he was gong to be defrauded.
Unfortuantly others suffered the same ordeal, such as Macedonians living in Australia as well. They did not want to speak publicly, but said that Chebrenska had “ripped off” several Macedonian families from the continent.
