Macedonian wine will be promoted in Croatia by its geographical name

-

The problem with placement of the product that recently appeared was due to the contradicting provisions of the new Law on Wine of the Republic of Croatia. The country was reluctant when it came to wines originating from our country. Yet, by communicating with the Croatian authorities, the problem has been overcome, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy said.
“In solving and overcoming the problem representatives from the European Commission were present. The most affected from this problem were the wine sellers which export wine to the Republic of Croatia. Meaning, these same wines were forbidden to be advertised and promoted in whichever form that come from the Republic of North Macedonia. These restrictions caused decrease of the sales in the markets, where there was true danger of halting the import of Macedonian wine”, said the announcement.
By overcoming the problem, wineries once more normalized their operations. In other words, the sales of wine to the market in Croatia are now proceeding as normal.
