Macedonian Foreign Affairs Ministry issues a warning against traveling to Italy while Wizz Air cancels its flights to this destination

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MFA) issued a new warning about travels to Italy taking into account the situation with the coronavirus there. According to the Agency of Civil Protection. According to the Agency, 366 people have died from the virus and there is a growth in the number of infected by 25%, from 5.883 to 7.375 people.

“According to the information received from the Consulate General of North Macedonia in Venice, due to the seriousness of the situation with the Covid-19 virus in the country, we recommend that our citizens not to travel in the following regions and provinces: Lombardia, Modena, Parma, Piacenca, Reggio Emilija, Pezaro, Urbino, Alesandria, Assi, Novara, Verbano Kusio Osola, Verceli, Padova, Trevizo and Venice.

We also recommend that all unnecessary travels to remaining parts of Italy to be avoided. For those citizens that are already in Italy we recommend to increased measures, to follow local media and instructions provided by local authorities. The Consulate also informed that it will not be working with people in the forthcoming period like other diplomatic outposts except for urgent situations.

Wizz Air also announced that it has canceled flights to Milan, Trevino and Bergamo due to the situation with the corona virus.
