Next year, Macedonia will participate in “Eurovision Song Contest”, after MRT and the Portuguese Radio Television had reached an agreement.
On the official Eurovision website, Macedonia now stands as one of 43 participating countries. Last week, on the list, it said that the change from the selection in 2017, is that Russia will be participating again, and Macedonia will not.
The website now writes that the participating countries should have formally submitted their applications by mid-September this year in order to be part of the “Eurovision Song Contest 2018”.
“The final list of participating countries was published on November 7th, but it was changed 10 days later when Macedonia was added to the list,” the Eurovision official website reports.
The EBU previously announced that “Macedonian Radio-Television” was currently unable to participate in “Eurovision Song Contest 2018” due to sanctions for an unpaid debt.
