-

Macedonia does not need the to raise the level of security after the terrorist attacks in Brussels, because, unofficially “Meta” has been told by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), they are already at a higher level of security after the attacks in Paris from November 13th from last year, and those measures are still in force.

The Ministry of Interior said that they will not come out with a separate statement, report or announcement about whether they will take any additional security measures following the attacks in Brussels.

A day after the attacks in Paris, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski held a meeting with the leadership of the Interior Ministry, where the decision was taken to strengthen security in and around the buildings of the police, to strengthen security measures at public gatherings and sporting events where there are likely to be large numbers of citizens, and strengthening control over migrants who then passed through the country, especially on the Southern and Northern borders, in accordance with the decision to introduce a state of emergency situation due to refugee crisis.

On the same day, a meeting was held, with the Security Council and President Gjorge Ivanov.

So far, Ivanov’s office has not notified whether they’ll schedule a meeting with the Security Council after today’s terrorist attacks in Brussels.
