Lavrov: USA and the EU want to be masters of the Balkans again

-

“Our Western colleagues, the USA and the leading European countries are obsessed with the idea of becoming masters of the Balkans. EU has certain plans regarding that. The negotiation processes are currently underway, and Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Monte Negro are part of that,” said the chief of the Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov.

He also said that Russia has nothing against these countries that will become a part of the European economic integration.
-That is natural because geographically, joint mechanisms are planned, including a joint space and market, but I hope that somewhere in the future, this European space will encompass the remaining part of Eurasia – said Lavrov.

Yesterday, Monte Negro was officially the 29th member of the Alliance, and today in front of the NATO’s offices in Brussels the Montenegrin flag will be also raised.
