The Foreign Minister of Austria Sebastian Kurz said West Balkan countries must not face a blocked road to the EU because some of the, like Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, are in danger of steering away from Europe and towards radical Islamist group, like we have in the middle of Europe.
-This is an immediate danger for us as neighbors. Because of that we need not only a European perspective but also to clearly work against it- said Kurz and noted that it is inevitable to cooperate with countries in the region in the threat coming from Islamic State and radicalization.
Regarding the refugees from the Middle East Kurz reiterated that he wasn’t surprised from Hungary’s decision to raise a wall because the EU doesn’t have a single approach for the problem.
-This is why countries are forced to take their own measures- concluded he.
Kurz said that the problem with the EU not have a single approach for the migrant crisis is because not all countries have seen migrants to their doors and they are not conscious how great that challenge is.
