The Public Broadcasting Service Macedonian Radio and Television (MRT) did not broadcast the central TV news program yesterday on October 15, without explaining why this happened. Some media outlets claimed that it is possible that there are technical problems, but this information has not been confirmed.
There is currently no official response from the Public Broadcasting Service, or rather from the editor-in-chief, Dragan Nikolovski, whom Meta.mk contacted by message and telephone.
After the time slot for the news bulleting, the MTV schedule announced a talk show from the studio with a panel of mayoral candidates in the 2025 local elections, entitled “Local Elections 2025 – Election Confrontations.” Instead, the 2004 British drama film “Ladies in Lavender” was broadcast, which was previously scheduled for 11 p.m.
Today, MRTV 1 broadcasted the morning news at 10 a.m., with picture and sound, without technical problems. On their website, content and news and recorded shows are published as usual.
Yesterday, instead of a central TV news program at 19:30 p.m., a culinary show and a movie were broadcast.
