Today, the European Commission urged the political parties in Macedonia to reach an agreement on the electoral laws as soon as possible.
“The Commission understands the fact that the parties failed to reach agreement on electoral reform, but negotiations will continue today. The Commission will closely monitor developments and expect parties to reach an agreement as soon as possible”, said Maja Kocijancic for “Meta”.
The European Commission did not want to comment on the bill on the prohibition of the “Bombs” nor did they want to comment on speculations that Commissioner Johannes Hahn had telephoned the leaders of the parties late last night.
“The Commission knows that the draft-bill was withdrawn from Parliament”, said Maja Kocijancic.
