“The Commissioner is closely monitoring the implementation of the political agreement in Skopje. He is up to date with the obstructions of the decision to adopt and regulate important issues”, says Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for European Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
“The Commissioner is concerned that political leaders are not respecting some of the deadlines agreed. Progress on election regulations and the SEC must be achieved urgently and to ensure the functioning of the Special Public Prosecutor and the Inquiry Commission. Political will should be diverted to quick agreements on open issues, through compromise by all involved, in the interest of the country. Commissioner Hahn hopes and repeatedly expressed commitment to fully implement the political agreement of the four political parties and will allow finalization of agreements on all these issues in a very short time, because time is running out”, said Ms Kocijancic for “Meta”.
