Kotevski will remain a warden at the Shutka penitentiary until the elections are over

At its 123rd session, the Government has evidenced the resignation on part of the warden of the Shuto Orizari penitentiary, Gjoko Kotevski.

“Taking into account that the resignation was filed in a period when the presidential elections are due, the resignation will be discussed when the elections are over i.e. as soon as the ban for appointing and dismissal as is regulated by h the Election Code” said the press release

The Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has demanded a resignation and Kotevski has accepted his resignation after the incident at the prison when two detainees, Mile Janakieski and Spiro Ristoski were allegedly attacked by other prisoners.
