Today’s statement by the President of the party VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Gruevski for future projects, caused confusion, as they are to be implemented by the Government.

The question here is, whether Gruevski announced the projects as former Prime Minister or as President of a political party?

Today, he stood before before the Youth Union of VMRO-DPMNE and announced that from March the Government will provide free transport for young people under the age of 27 on the railway transport every first and third weekend of the month.

“These measures will be applied in March 2016, and to implement this project, the Government will pay additional fees and transfer the funds to Macedonian Railways”, said the leader of the party.

Gruevski also announced the construction of new fitness areas and reading rooms.

He said that he only promises what he is sure he can accomplish.

When asked how is it that a party President can make such promises in the Government’s name and what projects will be implemented, Ivo Kotevski, Director of the Centre for Communications for VMRO-DPMNE, said that the announced projects were part of their program.

“The same people who sit in the government from VMRO-DPMNE. As far as I know, the majority of the government is still VMRO-DPMNE. These are projects that were discussed”, said Kotevski.
